Liverpool University Press has partnered with Evellum Digital Publishing to distribute the highly successful Evellum Scriptorium Series of scholarly digital facsimile editions and teaching resources.*
This series focuses on the production and design of manuscript books in the Middle Ages. Individual publications examine the history and development of western European handwriting, the making of a manuscript as it might have been done on the Continent in the thirteenth century, the preparation of inks and paints, and the illuminating of large initials in late medieval manuscripts. These publications, used by scholars and students worldwide in their teaching and research, have established Evellum as a leader in the field of digital humanities.
Founded in 1995 by Bernard J Muir, Professor of Medieval Studies at the University of Melbourne and a well-known editor of medieval manuscripts, the innovative software used in Evellum’s products has been designed in-house by a team led by Nick Kennedy. Evellum's publications also include The Exeter Anthology of Old English Poetry DVD, also available from Liverpool University Press.* Not available to customers in Australia and New Zealand, to purchase in these regions, please visit www.evellum.com.
