Archival networks as a model of governance: the Italian case

Comma (2014), 2014, (1-2), 51–61.

Abstract

Archives are the places of memory and constitute the identity of community, especially in small communities. They maintain the identity of community, of networks of individuals which often have historical roots. In these communities, and between these entities, are established new connection systems that create economic benefits and efficient services for the community. They focus on the cultural awareness and on the history of the subjects of a territory, but they are also increasingly driven by national and local laws and regulations. Within communities, services for all are promoted. It is recommended that all information systems should be interoperable.
