Abstract

Kindred spirits to indexers, librarians have been known to create the same sort of bookish humor that indexers enjoy. Many examples of humorous indexes in library science are found in the works of the three top American library humorists, Edmund Lester Pearson, Norman D. Stevens, and Will Manley.
