Abstract

Since the beginning of 2013 the staff at Infogrid Pacific (IGP) and Sydney University Press (SUP) have worked together on the development of IGP:eIndexer, a tool that enables future-proof, dynamic indexing for print and digital formats in an XHTML5 environment. This article describes the background to the decision to go down this route, discusses the steps along the way and reflects on future possibilities.
