TIIARA for an IDOL: an adventure in indexing

The Indexer: The International Journal of Indexing (2013), 31, (1), 2–11.

Abstract

Elaine Ménard reports on the second phase of a research project aimed to develop a bilingual taxonomy (English and French) for digital image indexing. She compares results from English- and French-language indexers using the new taxonomy, describes the problems they encountered and makes suggestions for improving the taxonomy.
