Abstract

Kendra Millis started freelance book indexing in 2008. Since then, she has built a thriving business and made valuable contributions to the American Society for Indexing and the international indexing community. In this article, Kendra reflects on her first ten years as an indexer and gives us an in-depth look at what it takes to build a successful indexing career from scratch.
