Australian Journal of French Studies
Australian Journal of French Studies (AJFS) celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in 2013. It has been published by LUP since 2012. It is an international, peer-reviewed journal devoted to French and Francophone literature, culture and society. There are three numbers per year. The journal encourages new theoretical engagements and welcomes interdisciplinary approaches. Articles are published in English and in French. The majority of numbers are focused on a specific theme, but numbers on miscellaneous topics are usually published annually and submissions on miscellaneous topics are welcome at any time.
Australian Journal of French Studies is part of LUP's growing list of journals in the field, including Contemporary French Civilization (edited by Denis M. Provencher) and Francosphères edited by Professor Andrew Hussey). LUP also publishes an annual for the Society for Francophone Postcolonial Studies and the influential Contemporary French and Francophone Cultures book series.
Special numbers forthcoming and planned:
- Empathy and Imagination: Translation, Zola, and the French Nineteenth Century
- The Care (Re)Turn in Contemporary French and Francophone Cultural Production
